Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has unveiled a plan to introduce digital tools to enhance government accountability, transparency, and efficiency. One of these tools involves tracking the performance of contracts, project delivery, and individual staff performance.
Moreover, a new digital Ombudsman tool, named Pasha, is in the works. This tool aims to empower the public by allowing them to report instances of denied services or poor service from government institutions. Kuria highlighted that these initiatives, developed in collaboration with ministries across counties, will establish direct channels for interaction between the government and the public. This approach aims to promote accountability and transparency.
These digital tools signify a significant step towards modernizing government processes and ensuring citizens have a voice in holding institutions accountable for the services they provide. The implementation of these tools aligns with the government’s commitment to fostering an open and responsive relationship with the public.
